Superstar Spotlight: Illuminating News from Stevens PTA | February 2026, Issue #1

Spring energy is officially kicking in at Stevens! With enrichment clubs launching, Dodgeball right around the corner (don’t forget the 6PM start time!), and community events like Ice Skating and our May BOGO Book Fair on the horizon, there’s always something exciting to look forward to at Stevens! This is the season where our school really comes alive — students connecting, families showing up, and volunteers making it all possible.

March will also bring Coin Wars (will the Class of 2037 defend their title?) and more opportunities to get involved as we begin thinking about next year’s leadership team. If you’ve ever considered stepping into a bigger role, now is the perfect time to learn more.

Let’s keep the momentum going — it’s going to be a fun and busy few months at Stevens!

January PTA Meeting Recap

At our February PTA meeting, we shared updates from school leadership, the Board of Education, and PTA committees. Principal Vacca highlighted recent school celebrations, including the Olympic Opening Ceremony Fun Day and a well-received Jared Campbell assembly. The Board of Education provided an update on the superintendent search process, noting expanded opportunities for stakeholder participation. The PTA Treasurer reported a current balance of $47,326, and Building Council reminded families that toys should remain in student bags during the school day.

Committees shared progress on several upcoming events and initiatives, including Dodgeball, Family Dinner, enrichment clubs, and spring fundraising opportunities. Arts & Enrichment continues to support a wide range of student experiences through assemblies, field trips, and grade-level programming.

💰 Thursdays Are Student Banking

Student Banking is held every Thursday morning as part of our School Banking Program with First New York FCU. The program is going strong, and we’re looking for a few more volunteers to help Thursdays from 8:20–9:00 AM in the cafeteria. It’s a simple, fun way to support our students as they learn healthy saving habits.

If you can spare even one Thursday a month, we’d love to have you!
