Superstar Spotlight: Illuminating News from Stevens PTA | March 2026, Issue #1

As we head into Spring Recess, we’re also gearing up for one of the busiest—and most fun—times of the school year.

The weeks ahead are filled with events, fundraisers, and opportunities to come together as a school community—from Teacher Appreciation Week, Walkabout, BOGO Book Fair and Spring Fling in May, to the Fun Run and our Kindergarten and 5th Grade celebrations in June.

We know this time of year can feel full for families, and our goal is to offer a variety of ways to get involved—whether that’s attending an event, supporting a fundraiser, or simply cheering your child on as they participate.

We hope spring recess brings your family time to recharge before jumping into all that’s ahead. Be sure to check out the upcoming events below and mark your calendars—we’re looking forward to a fun, active, and memorable spring at Stevens!

March PTA Meeting Recap

At our March PTA meeting, we celebrated several “Shining Stars,” including Justine Ochal for organizing a successful Family Dinner (which raised $1,450 for the fifth grade party), Erin Smith for leading the Dodgeball Tournament, and Jodi Facteau-St. Gelais and Thatyane Pavinatto for their work on Enrichment Clubs. We’re also wrapping up a number of winter programs and events, with strong participation and support from our school community.

Our Treasurer reported a healthy balance of over $55,000, including recent fundraising efforts, and the board discussed thoughtful ways to reinvest surplus funds—such as replacing playground sleds and supporting classroom needs like kindergarten light tables.

Looking ahead, there are many exciting events and fundraisers planned, including the district-wide Roller Skating event in April, Coin Wars, upcoming fifth grade fundraisers, and a BOGO Book Fair in May. Planning is also underway for a potential Trivia Night for parents.
