It’s hard to believe summer is already winding down and a fresh new school year is just around the corner! We hope your families have enjoyed a wonderful summer and are as excited as we are for another great year at Stevens.

While school has been out, your Stevens PTA Executive Board has been hard at work planning and preparing for the year ahead. We’re excited to continue our work supporting our students, teachers, and staff while bringing another year of fun events, favorite traditions, and new opportunities to our Stevens families.

Our PTA is strongest when our families are involved, and there are so many ways to be part of it throughout the year. Whether you volunteer, attend an event or meeting, become a PTA member, or simply lend a helping hand when you can, every bit of involvement makes a difference!

🍎 Kindergarten Orientation Volunteers Needed! ✏️

Wednesday, September 9th is Kindergarten Orientation, and we are looking for a few parent volunteers to help us welcome our newest Stevens Superstars! 🌟

Volunteers are needed from 9:00–10:30 AM to help with:

• Welcoming and signing in parents and students
• Supervising children in the classrooms while parents attend a presentation

This is a great way to help make Kindergarten Orientation a smooth and welcoming experience for our new Stevens families!

We’re kicking off the school year with a little extra brightness for our Stevens staff!

Our annual Welcome Back Breakfast is Tuesday, September 15. The PTA is covering most of the food and supplies, and we’d love a few helping hands and finishing touches to make the morning shine.

From beverages and grab-and-go goodies to a little setup help, there are easy ways to pitch in.

And stay tuned this week, we’ll also be collecting notes and well wishes from students and families to share with staff at the breakfast.

🌟 Become a Classroom Parent Liaison!

This year, we are looking for one parent volunteer from each classroom to serve as a Parent Liaison and help strengthen the connection between our Stevens families, teachers, and PTA!

As a Parent Liaison, you’ll help support the school-family partnership. Responsibilities may include communicating with classroom families, sending email reminders about upcoming events, sharing important information, and communicating with the PTA when needed.

Interested in volunteering? Please fill out the form below. If you have more than one child at Stevens, please complete a separate form for each child. If multiple parents volunteer for the same classroom, one parent will be selected at random.

There is no requirement or obligation to volunteer in the classroom, so anyone is welcome to sign up!
