Superstar Spotlight: Illuminating News from Stevens PTA | October 2026, Issue #1
It's officially fall, Stevens families! ⭐

We hope everyone is settling into the school year and enjoying the start of a busy and exciting season at Stevens.

October is packed with some of our favorite events, including the Book Fair, Monster Mash, our membership contest and more. We’d also love to see you at our next PTA meeting this Tuesday, October 6 at 6:30pm in the Stevens Library. Whether you’re a longtime PTA member or just curious about what’s happening, everyone is welcome.

Be sure to check out everything coming up below and on our Stevens PTA website, and thank you for all the ways you help make Stevens such a special community.

Here’s to a great fall!

— Nichole Harrell, PTA President

From Our September PTA Meeting

A few highlights from our September 17 meeting:

  • The PTA ended last year with an approximately $6,000 surplus and is working toward a near break-even annual budget. Some budget lines were adjusted, including Arts & Enrichment, scholarships, Family Fun Night, the Holiday Shop and Ice Cream Social.
  • The PTA is exploring ways to use prior-year surplus funds to add equipment to the kindergarten playground, with Facilities to be consulted on space and site restrictions.
  • Stevens welcomed 22 new families this year, and the PTA is considering a special welcome event for them.
  • Parent pickup has improved, parent liaisons are back, and the school has welcomed several new staff members.
  • The group also discussed allergy and special-needs safety, including how families can best support one another and how the PTA can coordinate with Building Council and SEPTA.
