Premier Lacrosse League Visits Stevens!

Last week, we had an exciting surprise for our fourth and fifth graders! Thanks to a connection through PTA member Jen England, we were selected as a test site for a brand-new student engagement program created by the New York Atlas of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL).

The PLL team was looking for local schools to pilot their presentation before rolling it out nationally—and we were thrilled to welcome them to Stevens. The visit included four staff members and three professional players, who led students through a variety of activity stations focused on building foundational lacrosse skills. After the drills, players signed autographs and handed out personalized player cards (think baseball cards, but with a lacrosse twist!).

The entire visit was provided at no cost to the school, and the PLL team was incredibly appreciative of the opportunity to practice their new program with our students.

A big thank you to the Premier Lacrosse League, the New York Atlas team, and of course to Jen England for making this exciting experience possible!
