Student Enrichment Activities
The PTA supports events and activities for students, during and immediately following the school day, that enrich their learning experiences, celebrate their accomplishments, and promote fun.

1001 Books |
100 blue book bags are available for check out in the Stevens Main Lobby. Each book bag contains 10 books appropriate for Pre-K to 2nd grade. This collection of books will get your child reading about a variety of subjects and ideas. Students who read all 1,000 books will have book #1001 read to them by Dr. Evans. |

After School Enrichment Clubs |
After School Enrichment Clubs is a month long event that provides unique opportunities for students to learn and play. Past Clubs have included Lego building, cupcake decorating, art classes, martial arts, and much more. Clubs run one day a week for four weeks in March. There is a cost to participate and cost varies by Club. |

The PTA allocates a significant portion of its budget each year to Arts & Enrichment activities, events, and workshops including grade level workshops, school wide assemblies, and Family Fun Nights. |

5th GradeCelebration |
Each spring the PTA fundraises for and plans a celebration that coincides with the fifth grade moving up ceremony. |

Holiday Shop |
During Holiday Shop, students are given the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts for loved ones from select local vendors. Items include homemade crafts and snacks, sports memorabilia, small toys, holiday decorations and more. Volunteers help students select appropriate gifts and wrap the selected items. |

Popcorn Fridays |
One Friday a month, PTA volunteers pop popcorn and deliver it to each classroom; all students receive a bag! |

Reflections |
Reflections is a national arts program that gives students the opportunity to share their creative talents with the public. A specific theme is chosen each year and submissions are reviewed by experts. Students are recognized for their artistic ingenuity in bringing the theme to life. Entrants from the local level have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, state and even national level! Categories include: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. |

Student Banking |
Student Banking takes place every Thursday from 8am-9am in the cafeteria. Students must set up a bank account by either visiting a First New York Federal Credit Union or picking up an application when School Banking is open. Students can make deposits between $0.10 and $10.00. First New York provides several ways to earn money throughout the school year including good grades and reading. |

Drama Club |
Our Drama Club is for 5th graders. With the support of teachers, staff, and parents, students put on a play each spring. Volunteers support the club at tryouts and rehearsals after school. They help build sets and create costumes and props. |
